Sex:  Male                        Size:  Small, but lanky
This is Salanor, the new love of my life.  We adopted him two days ago and it has been a whirlwind of activity ever since.  When we picked him up from his previous family it was love at first sight, at least for me...I can't be sure what he was thinking but I'm sure it was along the lines of 'cold and wet and I-hate-you-WHY!!!???!!!'  hehe, yeah, that was because his previous human mama had decided to give him one last bath and he was still wet and shivering in his little blanket (which you can see peaking out from behind him in his basket).
We got him in the car with us and he cried the whole way home.  Not that I can really blame him, he was cold and wet and this strange person was holding him and his mommy was not answering his cry's...poor thing.
Even in his saddest moments he was an extremely curious and brave little thing.  He had to explore everything, and once he got into it he even started to play a bit.
That first night was long and hard on both of us.  He slept on my bed with me and I was half afraid I'd loose him or squoosh him.  I sleep on a top bunk too, so him falling off was another fear.  Nothing like that happened of course, but it was a possibility none-the-less.  So I was scared to move, and he was lonely and missing his family so he was restless.  Every time he would move I'd wake up, and every time I'd move he'd wake up (cus he was sleeping on top of me)....it was a vicious cycle.
But when it was finally over and he had filled his tiny little tummy full to bursting with food we settled down at my desk, which looks out the window.  This proved to be another trying moment for little baby Salanor.
He was minding his own business  staring out the window silently when he saw them.  I couldn't see him because he was behind the curtain, but his tail was poking out.  One minute he was fine, the next his tail was bushed out worst then a porcupine!
I pulled back the curtain and lo and behold our backyard was chicken paradise.
If I  could read Salanor's mind I'm sure he would have been thinking something along the lines of:
What is that odd looking creature and is it going to eat me?
He was obviously very traumatized by the experience.  He didn't move from the window until the last chicken was gone and he was on high alert the whole time.
He's a little bundle of energy, and I adore him already.
